We did it, you guys! We made it to the first episode! Let’s celebrate:
For the first pitch of the series, I decided to attempt a sequel to my favourite franchise of my favourite Marvel character: Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man Trilogy. Here’s some extra things you might be interested in:
You can read more about the original fourquel here.
JK Simmons, undeniably the best part of the original Spider-Man trilogy, said he would “absolutely” play J. Jonah Jameson again if asked. Yay! Now he set to play Commissioner Gordon in next year’s Justice League. Yay?
While this doesn’t necessarily mean he couldn’t do both roles, it would make him the first actor to be involved in two Cinematic Universes at the same time. And if he can’t do both, I’ll gladly take Bryan Cranston in either role.
“With Great Power…”: The famous quote from the comic doesn’t get a mention in the Amazing Spider-Man films… unless you watch this deleted scene from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 with an unexpected returning character.
Andrew Garfield’s first film after the disappointing sequel was with Man of Steel‘s Michael Shannon in 99 Homes, a drama based on the true story of a young single father who got himself involved with the plans of a corrupt Estate Agent. It’s a bit of a departure from his previous role, but still worth a watch.
That’s it for this week. Check us out next week, where Wumi will be tackling one of M. Night Shyamalan’s many disappontments films.
