Gamer Month returns! To kick things off this year, Tam takes the gang to the border of the glorious Nation of Arstotzka to pitch a live-action adaptation of the popular Indie Political Thriller Puzzle game: Papers, Please.
Stella returns in this week’s episode, as we give the genderswap treatment to some films of the 1990s.
Stella modernises a tale as old as time in Beauty and the Beast, Wumi almost recaps the entire plot of The Fifth Element and Deeby is ssssmoking in The Mask.
“Ehh! What’s up, Doc?”
Not the Looney Tunes, I’ll tell ya that. Well, not this week.
“…What time is it?”
That’s more like it.
This week Tam serves up an adaptation of the Eisner Award-winning comic book series, Chew.
Wumzum’s here for the Weekly Writeup. This week I pitched my own Samurai Jack film. Live Action though – Tam made me do it. //html5-player.libsyn.com/embed/episode/id/5426933/height/90/width/640/theme/custom/autonext/no/thumbnail/yes/autoplay/no/preload/no/no_addthis/no/direction/backward/render-playlist/no/custom-color/f43c3c/
Deeby follows the modern Disney method with his live-action adaptation of the 1963 Disney Classic(?), ‘The Sword In The Stone’.
Put on your party hat, grab some cake and blast some Kool & The Gang on the boombox; it’s our first birthday! //html5-player.libsyn.com/embed/episode/id/5426937/height/90/width/640/theme/custom/autonext/no/thumbnail/yes/autoplay/no/preload/no/no_addthis/no/direction/backward/render-playlist/no/custom-color/b02222/
Wumzum here for the Rugrats Writeup! //html5-player.libsyn.com/embed/episode/id/5426938/height/90/width/640/theme/custom/autonext/no/thumbnail/yes/autoplay/no/preload/no/no_addthis/no/direction/backward/render-playlist/no/custom-color/d02222/
This week we’re grabbing another tabloid as we prepare to FUSE THE NEWS! We each take two stories from the newspaper and smash them together into our own Frankenstein’s Monster of news of a story.
Yo! Happy Valentines Day and all that! “Romeo and Juliet … IN SPACE!” was a challenge presented to yours truly by Tam almost as soon as he had the idea for this podcast. Deeby did what any right minded lad woulda’ done:
1) Put it off till Valentine’s Day was a stone’s throw away, and then
2) Made sure that his pitch veered as far away from anything like a Romeo and Juliet story at all.
We’re all looking forward to the Lego Batman Movie, right? This week we get ourselves ready by pitching our own toy-based films.
Deeby rolls the dice with ‘Snakes and Ladders’, Wumi gets personal with ‘Beanie Babies’ and Tam is down with modern kids in ‘Hatchimals’.
